What are sewage pumping fees?

Sewage pumping fees are for the removal and treatment of all sewage that leave your home or business. After this liquid waste leaves your home or business, the sewage travels to 2952 VBPC where it is collected and pumped into the NYC sewage system.

What do my sewage pumping fees cover?

Your sewage pumping fees cover the cost of maintaining the Pump Station wet well, dry well, property, operating costs, administrative costs, inspections, permitting, insurance, security and future capital improvements for the longevity of the station.

Why am I responsible for these sewage pumping fees?

To build the home or business that you currently occupy which is below the gravity level of the NYC sewer system, NYC required a privately owned pumping station to service the community.

Why was I not informed of these fees before now?

The pumping station was abandoned by the previous owners in 1999. 2952 VBPC took ownership in 2003. Based on a court order in 2004, fees were not to be billed or collected until all legal compliance requirements were met. The legal requirements were completed in 2013. However, due to a confusion with NYC Parks Department, NYC Law Department, Verizon Wireless and the City Council of the Mayor's Office, the billing was effectively delayed until August of 2017.

Why am I being billed from October 2013?

All legal requirements were effectively completed at this time and we are legally entitled to collect monies for services beginning in October 2013.

Can I negotiate or reduce my sewage pumping fees?

All negotiations or fee reductions will be considered on a case by case basis. Please contact our office for available options.

How often am I being billed?

You can be billed and pay annually, quarterly or monthly based on your budget and preference.

Are there Senior or Veteran Discounts?

There is a 15% off Senior Citizens Discount as well as a 10% Veteran's Discount. Please fill out the form on our "Discount" page of this site in order to take advantage of these programs.

Can these discounts be combined?

Yes. If you are both 65 years of age or older and a US Veteran, you will be able to take full advantage of both of these discount offers.
